Healthy planet, sustainable Societies, thriving in balance
As the existential threat of the climate crisis increases and businesses and governments are being asked to do more on social and environmental issues, the need increases for accomplished leadership to take on sustainability strategy and execution. This need is being met by a new generation of leaders who are convinced that sustainability is the only way forward to overcome the complex and systemic challenges we’re facing as a society and that action is crucial.

sustainavistas is a non-profit organization, founded in 2019 by an international network of Cambridge trained ‘Sustainability Leadership’ professionals who are committed to generate sustainable impact. sustainavistas envision a healthy planet and sustainable societies that thrive in balance. It is our mission to empower change agents to drive impactful and collective action for a sustainable future. 
We believe that today’s complex challenges require novel ways of thinking, urgent action and radical collaborations. We therefore facilitate the connection of people and the sharing and application of knowledge to build impact projects. As a community we support one another, grow together and create innovative sustainability solutions for businesses, organizations and society.

Our pillars

Our organization is built on 3 pillars. First and foremost we are a community network, where sustainability professionals can connect, network and share their personal sustainability journey. In addition, we use our network expertise to work on projects that are shared by our members in order to help other organizations advance in their sustainability journey. Our final goal is to use our knowledge and insights to develop interventions that can be applied to complex sustainability challenges.

Community Platform

You can join us on our community platform where we all come together to engage in discussions, share knowledge and interesting findings, discover useful resources in our field and meet other sustainability leaders and change agents. Being a member of our network means that you will be invited to all our events and will get to know many passionate sustainability professionals from all over the world. We are also constantly looking for people to join our crew and help to build sustainavistas.

Projects

We are open to new challenges and invite you to share your sustainability challenges with us. All our members are sustainability professionals with very diverse backgrounds. Once a project comes in we will reach out to our members and set up a small team with the right experience to work on the project. We will apply our knowledge and experience to come up with solutions. Do you have an interesting sustainability challenge or project that you wish to share?

Systems Thinking Lab

Bringing together so many different sustainability professionals and sharing knowledge during events and projects will ultimately lead to new insights which we try to apply to the complex challenges that we are facing today. We want to develop and advance effective interventions for these complex challenges and will share our insights and ideas in our papers.
